Ruth Modeste
Ruth is the creator behind Amaamaga, previously named Against the Bead. She is an Inuk artist raised in Ulukhaktok, NT, but currently resides in the South Slave region. Her Innuinaqtun name given to her is Tunimokhi. She comes from a long line of print-makers, carvers and seamstresses. She is trying to reclaim her culture and identity through her artistic roots.
